Research
Held within the Lorenzo de Zavala state archives, the Texas Military Rolls collection reveal the names of those who served the Republic. Ranging from 1836 through 1845, these lists highlight an unfamiliar piece of Texas History, the Tejano and Native Rangers. These records illuminate a unique element of diversity within the Texas Rangers; an element that is severely lacking in historical scholarship. The following seminar paper & research proposal represent an attempt to explore these forgotten Rangers.

Archival Work
The Ron Carleton Collection surveys the Legislative duties performed by Ron Carleton. He served as Chief of Staff for Congressman Martin Frost from 1983 - 2003.

Historiography
Analyzing the intricacies of transatlantic slavery, is a challenge that veteran scholars still grapple with. This historiographical paper seeks to deconstruct said intricacies into four thematic elements. These elements focus on the expansion, abolition, societal definition and urbanization of transatlantic slavery.

Digital Humanities
Seeking to enhance and stimulate scholarship on the U.S.-Mexican War, UTA's A Continent Divided serves as a repository for diverse audiences. Scholars can utilize the plethora of biographies for research, while K-12 teachers can implement varied lesson plans for their students. My contribution to this digitization project are as follows:
-
A biography on a Penateka Comanche Chief: Potsanaquahip "Buffalo Hump"
-
An essay that investigates military discipline and punishment during the U.S.-Mexican War
-
A Document Based Questionnaire (DBQ) on the Meusebach-Comanche Treaty
